Hello everyone! I'm very pleased to announce that after a half-year's hard work, the visual novel Polaris is finally presented to everyone. There are so many things I want to talk about that I don't know where to start. As the creator, I'd like to share my thoughts from the following aspects :

Regarding the game itself:

I barely call myself an artist. My daily work has nothing to do with artistic creation. In fact, this visual novel is my first creation. The original idea came from The Decameron. During a similar pandemic, in order to avoid the terrible plague, I hope that everyone can get together online like the young people in that novel and take turns telling their fascinating or up-and-down stories. In order to realize my idea,  the inexperienced me spent a lot of spare time to learn all the knowledge and skills needed to make visual novels. After a series of processes of writing, drawing, coding and translation, I finally begin the journey along with Polaris. At the same time, as a big fan of strategy games and detective novels, I make a bold attempt to integrate card games, reasoning and other elements together in my plot, hoping to give readers a brand new and interesting experience.

Regarding the future of the game:

In fact, I had thought about giving up many times, because it was really too difficult for me to take care of everything by myself. I have never written a novel before, can't draw, don't understand music, know nothing about programming, and English is not even my first language, which makes the road to achieve my goals particularly tortuous and difficult. As a hobby, I gave up my rest time after work and devoted myself to this project, but the progress was still very slow. Yet I don't want to stop there, because I believe it is every author's  obligation to present a complete and beautiful story to the readers. Now that we have chosen this difficult path, we should stick to it till the end. I dare not say how good the writing or visualization of this novel is. In fact, compared to those popular and famous projects, we can say that there is a huge gap. But... this is a story I want to tell, a story I want to share with everyone. Therefore, as long as one person thinks the story is good, I am satisfied. As the plot unfolds, the following stories will become more exciting, at least I hope so. I'm also considering form my own development team with people who enjoy this novel. I am currently saving up money through hard work, hoping to gradually bring improvements and changes to the story.

The second chapter of the novel, in accordance with the current progress and plan, I personally hope I'm able to present it to you in next spring or early summer, if I still has to do everything by myself alone.

It seems a bit too much, anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this story.
